Amateur Transceiver Radio Centre closed ?

I recently ordered a product via the Internet from the ATRC in Sydney.
After 2 weeks of not having any response from them or receiving the product, I have since found out that they have apparently closed.
This is despite the fact their website is still active, and they are clearly accepting money via Paypal. Fair Trading NSW & PayPal have been advised.

Hi Paul spoke to u last night (vk8GE )24/05 I to have ben ripped off by this person as i purchased a IC7000 in july of last year only to find after sending for repair that is is second hand and been in fore reparair twice before so wty is null and void 9 PRITTY PISSED OFF)

Les can always be contacted on his Gumtree Page .i have never had issues with Les ,a truly honest business man .

I to am very sorry to hear the les has closed up, as I would like to find him an place my ic7000 in his **** as i purchased it new an had a fault with it, sent back to icom to find it is second hand with 2 repairs prior to mine, hense wty now less than 3yrs as opposed to 5yr new

Fortunately I did not suffer any financial loss re the closure of ATRC. I got an aplogetic e-mail from Les, and had my money reimbursed by PayPal.

Les - the owner of ATRC.. gone bananas... he went to Africa , fell in love with a black beauty - and decided to close down ATRC. He migrated to one of African countries and lives there..

Lee Andrews is of course jealous of Les,as Les speaks direct to all of his customers,not like Lee Andrews,who sometimes , has not got the time to discuss service we have on products,as a club member i like Les, mainly because, he has a, hands on approach to people .i would swap my, fat white cow of a girlfriend anytime for a Black Beauty.

Hi Paul
I was aware of les and the artc business ( I live within 5km of the previous business ) and that it shut down.
He ran the business from a previous address that was also a motor wreckers owned by his brother.
Anyway les is back in the country ( about 8 months ago because the wrecking business went broke ) and I have seen him through a third party.
It would appear he is sort of back in business , if you search amateur radio on gumtree in sydney Les is selling all sorts of accessories .
I personally dont want to do business with him and have no affiliation with him , but saw your blog ( from 2014 ) and thought I would reply.
Just for information only and not trying to cause any trouble.

i have purchased more then $50,000 dollarsof equipment , over the many years dealing with Les ,and only has one warranty claim which had was replaced for free with one working day,Les,s yard never went broke, impossible as he owned it ,i would again purchase of Les for sure 100% ,if you have an issue call him ,his number is on Gumtree.he has a wealth of experience ,more then 50 yearsof business ,and will help all of us club members .
