RADIO ROMANIA INTERNATIONAL.
Radio Romania International was originally known as Radio Bucharest, and was established in 1927. It is owned by the Romanian public radio broadcaster Societatea Romana de Radiodifuziune (SSR), the national public radio in Romania.
Following the anti communist Romanian Revolution of December 1989, Radio Bucharest became Radio Romania International.
It is believed that the first letter received by Radio Bucharest from a foreign letter was in August 1933. A letter was received from Mr. John Hardie of Scotland who reported the good reception of Radio Bucharest.
