On 11th November 1918 WW1 ended with the signing of the Armistice, an agreement to stop fighting it was signed between France, Britain, and Germany, bringing four years of fighting in the First World War to an end. It was on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month 1918.
Between the 3rd November 2018 and the 11th November 2018, a number of special event calls were on air in Australia to commemorate the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice.
I was privileged to use this call on three occasions.
On the 10th November 2018 I activated the Murrayville Flora Reserve VKFF-2407 in VICTORIA.
On the 11th November 2018 I activated the Welshmans Plain Nature Conservation Reserve VKFF-2482 in VICTORIA and the Wyperfeld National Park VKFF-0549 in VICTORIA.
