WWFF GLOBAL AWARDS
The WWFF program offers global awards. These award certificates are issued to WWFF Activators and Hunters by Award Managers in Europe.
WWFF GLOBAL ACTIVATOR.
For the WWFF global activator certificate, you must have confirmed a minimum of 11 different WWFF references in the WWFF global database (WWFF LogSearch), with a minimum of 44 QSOs logged per activity.
The certificates are issued as follows:-
Initially, the WWFF Activator certificates featured the. WWFF logo. In about April 2018, the certificate design changed, and the certificate featured an amateur radio operator seated on a log holding a microphone. In about June 2024, the design of the WWFF Activator certificates changed, and they now feature different wildlife.
I have qualified for the WWFF Activator 532 certificate (as of November 2025).
I have activated 668 different references, and of those, 543 I have reached the required 44 QSO threshold.
The levels marked in red below are certificates that I have missed and have not been issued. Unfortunately, the WWFF global program does not issue 'back certificates'.
**Be aware of a 'trap for young players' in the WWFF program. If you have gone on a road trip and have come back to upload your logs, firstly, check the number of parks that you have activated in WWFF Logsearch. If you are close to the next level, I suggest you initially forward just the required number of logs to your State/Territory representative. That way, you will not miss out on a particular certificate. Once your logs have been uploaded and you have applied for your activator certificate, then send the next 11 logs for upload.

- between 444 and 862, in steps of 22
- above 888, in steps of 44

The award is to encourage longer activations of and revisits to WWFF references.

DXFF ACTIVATOR.
For the DXFF certificate you need to have activated WWFF nature reserves from at least 3 different DXCC (as defined by the ARRL plus the VK regions). These activities need to be logged in the WWFF global database (WWFF LogSearch), with a minimum of 44 QSOs logged per activity.
Upgrades are offered for every 3 extra confirmed DXCC.

WWFF GLOBAL HUNTER.
For the WWFF Global Hunter certificate, you need to have confirmed a minimum of 44 different WWFF reference numbers in the WWFF global database (WWFF LogSearch).
Upgrades are available for each 44 confirmed extra references up to 444. Upgrades of 100 are available after that.
A special “novice” award for the first 10 references worked.
