RADIO EXTERIOR DE ESPANA, SPAIN.
Radio Exterior de Espana (REE) is the international service of the public broadcaster Radio Nacional de Espana (RNE).
The RNE network is made up of Radio Nacional, Radio Clasica, Radio 3, Radio 4, Radio 5 Todo Noticias, and Radio Exterior de Espana (the international service).
The station was launched on the 15th day of March 1942 and was originally known as La Voz de Espana. It was previously known as Spanish Foreign Radio.
REE ceased shortwave broadcasts on the 15th day of October 2014, but just two months later, it was announced that shortwave broadcasts would resume.

REE's transmitter site is located at Noblejas, just south of Madrid. The site was inaugurated in 1971 and replaced the previous transmitter site at Argana del Ray.
