RADIO BEIJING, CHINA.
Radio Beijing is now known as China Radio International.
The station was originally known as Xinhau New Chinese Radion XNCR. Following the formation of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the name was changed to Radio Peking on the 10th day of April 1950.
In 1983 it was changed to Radio Beijing. On the 1st day of January 1993, the station's name was changed again, this time to China Radio International, in order to avoid any confusion with local Beijing radio broadcasting.
