WSHB commenced broadcasting on shortwave on the 27th day of March 1989. The station was located near Pineland in South Carolina, USA, and was owned by the Christian Science Publishing Society.
The station had two 500kW transmitters and was located on a 380 acre property in a pine forest. The station's antennas consisted of twelve (12) curtain antennas, eight of which were slewable.
In 2004, WSHB was sold to LeSea Broadcasting Corporation.
