RADIO JAPAN.
Radio Japan is now known as NHK World Japan.
The station was formally known as Radio Tokyo which had suspended transmission at the conclusion of World War II. The station resumed operation on the 1st day of February 1952 as Radio Japan. The station's mission postwar was to promote better understanding of Japanese culture and to provide news and entertainment to Japanese citizens living abroad.
