Codan 9350 self tuning antenna
The Codan 9350 is an Automatic Tuning whip antenna, providing continuous tuning to any required frequency over the transmit/receive operating range of 2-30 MHz.
The 9350 only takes a few seconds to tune to any frequency. The typical tuning speed is about 2 seconds. It is rated for maximum voice power of 125 watts PEP.
Two whips are available for the 9350. The standard or primary whip is a wire that is encased in a polyurethane covered fibreglass rod (Transmit operation: 2–30 MHz). This whip is 2.47 metres in length and weights 5.8 kg. The shorter secondary whip is manufactured from stainless steel (Transmit operation: 2.5–30 MHz). This comes in two lengths: 1.2 and 1.65 metres. I have the 1.65 m stainless whip.
