WWV.
WWV is the callsign of United States National Institute of Standards and Technology shortwave radio time signal station. It is located near Fort Collins, Colorado.
Since 1945, it has broadcast a continuous time signal and has transmitters on 2.5, 5, 10, 15, and 20 MHz.

WWVH.
WWVH is the callsign of the United States National Institute of Standards and Technology's shortwave radio time signal station. It is located at the Barking Sands Missile Range, in Kekaha, on the island of Kauai in the state of Hawaii.

WWV and WWVH simultaneously transmit on the same frequencies. In order to differentiate itself, WWV uses a male voice, while WWVH uses a female voice. WWV's voice announcement is 7.5 seconds before the minute tone. WWVH's voice announcement is 15 seconds before the minute to ne.

- March 1923 - first scheduled broadcasts of WWV from Washington DC
- April 1933 - WWV gets first 20kW transmitter at Beltsville, Maryland
- January 1943 - WWV is relocated to Greenbelt, Maryland.
- November 1948 - WWVH commenced transmissions from Maui, Hawaii
- January 1950 - WWV added voice announcements
- July 1964 - WWVH added voice announcements
- December 1966 - WWV relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado
- July 1971 - WWVH relocated to Kauai, Hawaii
