ROLLO MELVILLE RANKINE
Rollo Melville Rankine was born on the 8th day of April 1949, at Strathalbyn, South Australia. His parents were Keith Melville Rankine and Marion Daphne Rankine nee Thring.
The little boy took his dog 'Jock' for a walk beside Dawson Creek near 'Brigend' at 5 Ashbourne Road. Some time later, the dog 'Jock' arrived home covered in mud and without Rollo.
It was reported that the dog led Rollo's father to the scene, who retrieved his son's body and rushed him to the hospital. Despite the best efforts of Dr. Failry, Rollo was unable to be saved.
