ROBIN HOOD HOTEL
The Robin Hood Hotel is located on the corner of High Street and Grey Street, Strathalbyn
The hotel was opened in 1855 by J.E. Short.
Strathalbyn's first show was held in the yard at the rear of the hotel by the Strathalbyn Agricultural Society on the 5th day of March 1856. In 1855, Dr. John Rankine was appointed the Chairman of the Society, but due to ill health, he returned to Scotland in January 1856 and did not get to attend the first show.
