REALISTIC DX-302
HISTORY OF REALISTIC.
Realistic was an electronics brand produced by RadioShack. It was initially a home audio equipment brand but expanded by the 1980s to CB radios, walkie-talkies, and video camcorders. Realistic was discontinued in 1994 but was revived in 2016 for a short period of time for use on Bluetooth devices. (Wikipedia 2025)
In 1954 RadioShack were approached by Harman Kardon who offered to help create for RadioShack a line of private label audio equipment. RadioShack agreed and initially the brand was known as Realist. In 1955 the name was challeneged by the David White Company who produced the Stereo Realist camera. Later that year, the name was changed to Realistic. (Wikipedia 2025)
