RACHEL HANLIN CAMERON
Rachel Hanlin Cameron was born on the 11th day of September 1922, at Strathalbyn, South Australia. Her parents were John 'Jack' Cameron and Rosa Orwell Cameron nee Hanlin.
In June 1936, some poetry written by 13-year-old Rachel appeared in the Southern Argus newspaper.

Rachel died on the 17th day of September 1940, at Finniss, South Australia, aged 18 years.
She had gone rabbiting but did not return home. She was found deceased with a bullet wound to the head. Police enquiries were made and a report was prepared by Sgt Cahill for the Coroner, Mr C.S. Woolfitt. (1940 Southern Argus)
