JAMES KENNEDY
James and Mary Kennedy had ten children: seven daughters and three sons.
Their first son James McGavin Kennedy died in 1890, aged 9 months. Their third son Reginald Farquar Kennedy, died in 1902, aged 11 months.
But the death of their second son Gavin Farquar Kennedy was the most tragic. He died in 1899, aged just 5 months. He was in his pram while his mother and siblings were shopping. One of the children accidentally bumped the pram, which ran out onto the road. The pram startled a pony and kicked young Gavin in the head, killing him.
