Channel Africa was South Africa's international shortwave broadcaster, succeeding Radio RSA in 1992. For many years it transmitted from the powerful Meyerton shortwave transmitting station, serving listeners across Africa and around the world in English, French, Portuguese, Swahili, Chinyanja (Chewa), and Silozi.
